EcoFeminism

Ecofeminism derives from the political ideas of environmentalism and feminism. This combination derives that capitalism and patriarchy are at fault for the degradation of women and the planet. Women, through the lens of capitalism and patriarchy, are made to seem lesser than and that the cultural/ domestic work that women produce are invalid to the production and consumption through capitalism. Similarly, environmentalism captures the ways that the earth has been destroyed/ degraded from the constant state of capitalism patriarchal societies have perpetuated on her. The combination of these philosophies take many forms and have influenced many movements throughout the last century. Some of these forms include spiritual ecofeminism, liberal ecofeminism, and socialist ecofeminism.
