Urban Agriculture

Urban Agriculture is the practice of farming adapted to an urban environment meeting the needs of the communities. Although this is far from a new concept, the modern interpretation of Urban Agriculture takes into account inequalities in agriculture practices and modern food systems. In this practice, there is a respect for the effects climate change has on urban settings and the histories of the communities served. This understanding adds a nuance to how we practice modern urban agriculture and how we can use urban agriculture as a tool for Food Justice.
